Description
For cmake, a "make clean" is analogous to blowing away your out-of-tree build directory and re-creating it. Verifying that the out-of-tree cmake build is really out-of-tree by having a CMake build job that sets the thrift source directory to read-only in the docker container would be an excellent proof point. Given that cmake is calling other build systems, if they are not configured correctly then we don't actually have an out-of-tree build.
