Description

jcamachorodriguez put together a nice patch on the heels of HIVE-12192 (date/timestamp handling in Hive) which fixes Phoenix. Without this patch, we'll see both compilation and runtime failures in the PhoenixStorageHandler with Hive 3.1.0-SNAPSHOT.

Sadly, we need to wait for a Hive 3.1.0 to get this shipped in Phoenix.
