Description
Motivation and use cases
Existing activation functionality allows user to perform start/stop operations on persistent-enabled grids without excessive and unnecessary rebalancing operations.
Improvement for automatic actiovation simplifies activation process freeing user from manual grid activation after each restart (or building custom environment management tools).
Main use case looks like this: user provides information about target grid topology (number of nodes, IP addresses/ports, etc.); this information is stored on the first start. Later based on this grid is activated automatically after restart when that topology is reached.
More information is available in the discussion in dev list.
