Description
Dispatch is currently hard-wired to issue initial credit for 1000 messages and to replenish credit by one for every received message.
Recent research done by Mick Goulish suggests that better performance can be achieved by batching credit replenishment by 10-50 credits at a time, thus amortizing the cost of flow processing.
Initial credit and batch size should be configurable in the router. It might make sense to have a global configuration and per-connection configuration.
