Description

Accumulo needs to be able to run on a large variety of JVM vendors. Currently, there are a number of assumptions in the application code and some unit tests that cause problems when running Accumulo on a non-Sun or OpenJDK VM.

This issue contains a number of sub-issues which address each of these problems.
