Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 79851
False spelling error report in Thai language (Writer only)
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:15:14 UTC
Thai words which contain upper and lower vowels or marks are not recognized properly in Writer. It recognizes only the base character and the marks above and below but ignores preceding and following characters. This leads to many false spelling errors report. You can try it with the word "ธูป". Writer will report "ธู" as spelling error, ignoring the last character. Though it suggest "ธูป" as correct, correcting it does not make the error go away. This behavior is not found on other programs such as Impress.
Reassigned to SBA.
@varoot; Please attach a sample document and adetailled instruction what will allow to reproduce the problem also by a non Thai speaking user.
