Description Frank Schönheit 2006-06-02 09:34:30 UTC
In the current SourceCast installation (2.6), when you enter HTML markup in the
description of a document/file, this markup is respected when displaying the
document list.

In the new SourceCast installation (3.5.1), it isn't anymore.

Let me verify if after fixing Issue 66032 if this will get resolved (I doubt
it). If not, I will re-open this.
Comment 5 Unknown 2006-08-08 19:17:10 UTC
Re-opening this issue, since it is tracked separately.

St ,

We have performed an work around in the stage box whereby we allow restricted
HTML to be rendered in Documents and Files and escaping anything which seems to
contain malicious HTML tags.

Note : In the link given below

http://dba.stage.openoffice.org/servlets/ProjectDocumentList?folderID=0&expandFolder=0&folderID=586

You would notice that the one of the descriptions still contains html tags this
is because of the use <p/> as closing paragraph tags. It should be </p> and not
<p/> hence markup gets displayed. Even if there is one incorrect markup it wont
show-up properly. So please make sure that the tags used are using valid xhtml
tags.

If the workaround is up to your satisfaction we can go ahead and apply the same
to the production box .
Comment 8 Frank Schönheit 2006-08-09 13:59:18 UTC
<p/> is in fact intended to be an empty paragraph, not a paragraph closing.

However, it's not really a problem to replace this with <p></p>. (Or perhaps
even with <p /> - would this work? In the other issue, you told us that only <br
/> is recognized, not <br/> - perhaps that's the same here. Anyway.)

The staging site looks fine, so if you'd go ahead in applying to the production
site, that'd be great. Thanks.

fs,
I think there was a small correction instead of <p/> it should be <p /> in
the descriptions field for the html to be rendered have tried the same in this
test project.

I would forward your request for the engineers to apply the changes in the
production box .
