Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 48278
RTF: font of Thai text lost on import from Word 97
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:22:31 UTC
Steps to reproduce: 1. Start the Thai version of Word 97. 2. Enter a sentence of Thai 3. Save as RTF 4. Open the RTF document in OOo; the Thai text has no associated font (as shown in character properties) and is displayed in the default font (Tahoma) This happens even if you set an explicit font in Word 97.
Created attachment 25554 [details] RTF file created by Thai Word 97
I verified that Word 2003 imports the file correctly.
MRU->FLR: the RTF import doesn't seem to distinguish between the Western and CTL fonts.
Considering the effort, the priority, the risk and our resource planning I've to retarget this issue to OOo Later.
