Two plots of the same data, the red plot contains 1 additional row of data and appears messed up.

Using data range for Y-values (and X-values for Scatter plot) in a chart larger than 9998 rows causes the plot and matching axis scaling to be messed up.

First impression is that the Y-values only contain whole number (integers)

This looks like a duplicated of bug 122822

Can you test with a Developer Snapshot?

I did some smaller modifications in reporter's sample,expecially added screenshot for damaged view.

Chart should show:Thick blue and thin orange line one upon the other
Chart shows: Blue line and a strange orange triangle (with affected AOO versions).

Reproducible with  "AOO 4.0.0-Dev – English UI / German locale - [AOO400m3(Build:9702)  -  Rev. 1511231  2013-08-08]" on German WIN7 Home
Premium (64bit)", own separate user profile.

IS OK with "AOO 4.0.1 – German UI / German locale  [AOO401m5(Build:9714)  -  Rev. 1523756 2013-09-16 20:50:21]" on German German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)", Common 4.0-dev User Profile

So this one indeed is a DUP of "Bug 122822 - Correct viewing of XY-, Column- and Line-Charts limited to 10000 records + 1 Heading row"
