Description harshadc 2010-02-21 07:44:39 UTC
(Harshad C, 02/21,10)
If you increase the font size of an existing table to very large value like 400
or 500 it gets accepted and the text goes beyond the table.

Steps to replicate
> Open Impress
> Create a new slide
> Insert a table with 2 column and 1 rows
> Enter text AA (typeface Arial font size 18) in the two cells
> right click the table border and go to table properties
> in font tab put font size to 500

The text goes beyond the table as you can see in the screen shot.

Reproducible. Reassigned.

AW->CL: With primitives, it would be possible to generally graphically clip Text
on the area it is layouted for. Clipping always is expensive, so it would be
good to be able to find out if this happens (also possible with primitives, not
very cheap, but acceptable).
Also possible is a character-wise clipping SJ needed for some AutoShapes ->
Character gets only shown/clipped completely. This is done during layouting text
to text primitives and could also be used for tables.
