File hadoop-tools/hadoop-sls/src/main/java/org/apache/hadoop/yarn/sls/scheduler/SchedulerMetrics.java shows:

  void tearDown() throws Exception {
    if (metricsLogBW != null)  {
      metricsLogBW.write("]");
      metricsLogBW.close();
    }
    ....

So the exit logic is flawed.
