EmailValidator flags .cat emails as invalid

    Details

    • Priority: Minor
    • Resolution: Fixed
    • Affects Version/s: 2.3.28
    • Fix Version/s: 2.3.29, 2.5.1
    • Component/s: XML Validators
    • Labels:
      None
    • Environment:

      Linux, AWS, Solaris

      Description

I've a customer with .cat email who gets an invalid email error message.

.cat is a valid TLD as of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.cat
It was approved in September 2005

      After checking the documentation at
https://struts.apache.org/docs/email-validator.html it seems the pattern doesn't not include .cat domain

I've seen that WW-4569 solves the same problem with .tech

      Thanks in advance

Have you seen that you can define your own pattern for the email validator?
