Minor debug log statement addition and improvement.
Side question: is this the preferred way to report serviceability improvements? ... or is it preferred that we store up a local backlog of improvements and submit a bigger patch in a consolidated Jira? I suppose if I were a committer, I'd probably want a bigger patch as it requires less process overhead.
