Description

This is a project IDEA for Google Summer of Code (GSOC). To discuss this or other ideas with your potential mentor from the Apache Taverna project, sign up and post to the dev@taverna list, including "[GSOC]" in the subject. You may also comment on this Jira issue if you have created an account.

This idea propose to modify the Android app Taverna Mobile to connect to Taverna Server, as it is currently uses the separate Taverna Player API (which then again connects to the Server).

It should be possible to connect to either the player or a server, so a common internal Java interface might have to be developed.

There's an API taverna-server-client library bundled with the Taverna Server release which may be helpful, although it has not been tested on Android.
