The post above is a patch from Marcus Comstedt that seems to satisfy
Brane at least, although I think a little bit has been left out (it
adds a variable in Makefile.in called 'svn_configdir', but no one ever
seems to use the new variable). Anyway, see the whole thread for details.
I haven't marked this as blocking issue #751, but anyone investigating
further might want to dependificate these two issues in some way.
