client tries to open the same repository more than once

    Description

      During copy and diff (at least), we try to open the same repository more than
once. This doesn't work on HP-UX, where the same file can only be mapped once
into the same process (that'a a Berkeley DB FAQ).

One solution would be to keep a list of open repositories.
