Description
After a painful merge, I committed and got errors even though the new revision propagated. Then I tried to update to do a new merge, but this failed. At this point, svn cleanup, even as root, fails in this fashion: # LANG=C svn cleanup svn: In directory 'lang/sl' svn: Error processing command 'committed' in 'lang/sl' svn: Working copy 'lang' locked svn: run 'svn cleanup' to remove locks (type 'svn help cleanup' for details) vinci:/var/www/tiki/modules-doc# Searching for a solution led me to http://www.svnforum.org/2017/viewtopic.php?p=20608&sid=15d62a77ea1fb513fba045210e9cacd5 and http://www.opensubscriber.com/message/users@subversion.tigris.org/7286615.html which show that I'm not alone, though it's not clear what causes the bug. Unfortunately, the cat rebooted the machine after the commit, so I can't provide the errors. I should warn that this started about 18 hours ago, so I might misremember something in how I got in this situation. Note that while the cat pushed the power switch causing a violent shtudown, the problem was there before (svn was also not running at that time). This happens on Debian subversion 1.6.3dfsg-1. I'll try to keep this checkout for a while. Except for that, I can't provide a reproduction recipe as I was using at least 4 bash sessions in svn things at the time of the shutdown, and I'm using bash with no history timestamps - it would give me a headache to try to precisely reconstitute the sequence of events that led to this situation. For the record, I did add an extra 24 pack box flap on my laptop so the cat doesn't do that anymore :S
