Description

We need to ensure that all of the deprecations that we said would be removed
after 1.2.x are actually removed before a 1.3.0 build is produced. Otherwise, we
risk having people build on 1.3.0 using code that we want to be obsoleted,
thereby being forced to leave the deprecations in until a 1.4.x build.
