Description
Integration of AIDA-light disambiguation tool into Stanbol. AIDA (https://www.mpi-inf.mpg.de/departments/databases-and-information-systems/research/yago-naga/aida/) is a framework and online tool for entity detection and disambiguation. Given a natural-language text or a Web table, it maps mentions of ambiguous names onto canonical entities (e.g., individual people or places) registered in the YAGO2 knowledge base.
Current License of AIDA make it impossible to be integrated in Stanbol. However, there is another version of AIDA called AIDA-light licensed under Apache 2.0 license. This version has some disadvantages, mostly in terms of documentation and functionality, but it is good enough as disambiguation approach to complete the integration of YAGO2 in Stanbol.
