The meaning of the used shard colors is not really clear, integrate kind of a legend fo all possible node-states.

SOLR-3915: Color Legend for Cloud UI
Updated Patch, Erick the lower left seemed to be also not the best place for it, because of the "Radial View" - i'd suggest the lower right (for now) .. while browsing the Cloud Pages again i got the strong feeling, that the need some love in the near feature .. so it's not set it stone, but at least it's committed and we can go ahead
Kris, i tried the scripts from our solr/cloud-dev directory .. sounds like a more or less normal shutdown of the instance .. and if you're considering Mark's Comment on SOLR-3174:
if not in live_nodes:
it could have any state - ignore the state and make the color gray
this node is no longer existing in the live_nodes and therefore marked as grey .. makes sense for me?
Great Stefan. What about a core that is down from running ./instancedown.sh? Currently, it is a very light grey. How does that differ from the "Down" description?
Thanks again for this. -Kris
The legend is way cool. Suggestion: Move it to the lower left rather than the upper right? On my Mac (Lion), the text of the nodes overlaps the text of the legend. Chrome, build: 22.0.1229.92
Next Version, using the same markup as the graph itself does.
For Documentation, the Definition is coming from mark's comment on SOLR-3174
Yeah of course - screenshot attached .. will update with any new patches coming
Can you document the legend in text here so that people with 4.0 have at least some reference they can consult?
First Version, not sure if css's text-shadow is the best solution, it's more blurry than a concrete outline like the graph has one .. will see if i can get the same markup for the legend.
