[SM-599] bridge sample client.html providing no status info

When SM does not answer, nothing happens, not even an error message is displayed, only a look in the JS console can help. Moreover, user is neither informed that JS is needed nor where he's sending the message to.

Attached is a patch addressing those issues and making some other slight changes (typos, forgotten ; etc).
