Description

Currently shale uses javascript validation embedded in Shale's version of the
XML config file rather than the standard Commons Validator javascript routines.

This has the consequence that the javascript has to be maintained by Shale,
rather than taking advantage of improvements made to Commons Validator and
users who upgrade their version of Validator won't get the javascript
improvements they would expect.
