Description

It would be very useful to be able to find the SCM URL that was used to check out a working copy if possible. I know Continuum would have use for this feature to make sure it's not checking out over a existing checkout and to verify that a directory actually contain a check out before updating. I also imagine several of Maven plugins that can use it.
