Description

The update to Java 8 allows the update of JUnit 4 to 5.

Note: As of version 3.0.0-M4 the maven-surefire-plugin supports rerunning failing tests (see the feature matrix) in JUnit 5. This is essential for the RNG test suite as randomly seeded tests that are verified using statistical checks have an expected fail rate.
