It has been suggested that the default value for reggie's unicastDiscoveryHost should be an IP address instead of a host name to minimize problems in situations where reggie's host name cannot be resolved to an IP address in clients attempting to perform discovery. There are some questions around whether, generally, there are any advantages to using a name instead of an address and around what IP address to use in situations where reggie's host has been configured with multiple network interfaces.
