If you restart phoenix with a revised configuration that changes the ActivationSystem proxy (for example, the IP address changes, or the transport changes), the ActivationGroupIDs read from persistent storage continue to contain the old ActivationSystem proxy. These group IDs are then passed down to the restarted group VMs, which then attempt to communicate back to phoenix using the contained ActivationSystem proxy, which no longer works. It would be nice if the group IDs were reconstructed to contain the current ActivationSystem proxy instead.
