Bugtraq ID 6241506
The current method of deprecating configuration entries would presumably be through release notes and/or documentation in the corresponding entry. Would it be worthwhile to consider some mechanism to deprecate entries. Perhaps, the checkconfig tool could report entries which have been marked as such.
