After discussion on the mailing list, we seem to agree to use StyleCop to check .NET code formatting and FxCop to check .NET code for bugs.

Thank you for your interest in this project!

I will be the mentor for this project for GSoC 2016. Please share your draft proposal through the GSoC process so that I can give you feedback. Note that student application deadline is March 25th 19:00 UTC.

For a little more background on the project, we've previously done such work for our Java code (Checkstyle in REEF-332 and Findbugs in REEF-755, REEF-768 and REEF-789) and for StyleCop for .NET code (REEF-377). This project would be similar: enable FxCop in warning mode, go through the warnings it produces and fix them, enforce corresponding rules so that no new violations are introduced in new code.
