[QPID-6839] When the Selector thread hits an unknown exception it should log the exception and traceback.

Description

The background selector thread dies silently if an unknown exception is caught. Add a descriptive log of the event so if it occurs "in the field" we'll have a hope in H-E-double-hockey-sticks of fixing it.
