[PIVOT-61] TreeBranch does not handle comparitor completely

Description

add(TreeNode) just appends the tree node to the end of the branch, even if a comparitor is set on the tree branch, yielding an exception. We should audit all TreeBranch methods to make sure they play nicely with a comparitor.
