Description

We see Pig hanging on shutdown hook intermittently. Need to backport PIG-4916, PIG-4921 and PIG-4957 to branch 0.16. The original patch does not work with Hadoop 1 and need some rework. Create the ticket to backport them together as 3 patches are overlapping each other.
