Patch from Hans-Peter about convenience methods on the text document

Hans-Peter wrote on my behalf a patch, but unfortunately I got problems applying it.

I have reviewed the patch from text file and it looks fine.

Could someone try to apply the patch and review it?

Aside of the addition of convenient methods on the text document, I asked him to rename all further existing createSOMETHING methods to newSOMETHING to have a consistent API using solely:
addSOMETHING() - for adding SOMETHING, which exits prior as an object.
newSOMETHING() - for creating a new object of SOMETHING.
