Description

There are recent improvements in the asynchronous queue for persistent cache:

• OAK-4882
• OAK-5038 - not possible to backport yet, PersistentCacheStats not present in 1.2
• OAK-5071 - has been backported partially. +-async parameters are available, but async is not enabled by default.
• OAK-5138
• OAK-5142
• OAK-5178

They should be backported to 1.2 branch to avoid bottleneck described in OAK-4882.
