Description

The ReportLineageToAtlas Reporting Task should be deprecated on the support branch for removal from the main branch.

The Apache Atlas Reporting Task includes a number of transitive dependencies that do not align with current Apache NiFi project versions, including Servlet API, Java XML Binding, and Jersey. These differences are in addition existing differences for outdated version references such as Guava, Gson, Jackson, and Netty. The current Reporting Task implementation also includes a number of classes that are specific to certain NiFi components, which is not a maintainable implementation. The current ReportLineageToAtlas Task should be removed from the main branch for NiFi 2.0 to provide clear baseline for any potential future implementation.
