Description
- I deleted the dev user directory and dev cache directory for NetBeans.
- I downloaded and installed Build #416 on Windows 10.
- I selected Help > Check for Updates.
The installer very briefly displayed a screen stating that "the following plugins will be updated"...
Docker UI [1.1.4 -> 1.1.4]
IDE Platform [1.34 -> 1.34]
Local Tasks [1.26 -> 1.26]
Note that both version numbers are the same in all three cases. See the attached screen shot installer1.png.
- Then a second screen replaces that almost immediately, stating Some plugins require Java Source Base to be installed. However, the only enabled button is Cancel. See the attached screen shot installer2.png.
- After clicking Cancel I am immediately prompted to Click here to make you IDE up to date. See the attached screen shot installer3.png. If I click the link in the balloon then the same scenario as described above is repeated, and I cannot update anything.
- I also face the same problem if I use alternative GUI navigation to attempt to do the updates:
[1] Help -> About then click the Updates available link.
[2]Tools -> Plugins -> Updates -> Check for Updates
Note that I have downloaded many other builds (most recently #398) and not encountered this problem. I have assigned this issue Major priority since I can't apply updates, but please downgrade if appropriate.
