profiles applied to POM inheritance hierarchy will pollute child POMs with modules from parents

    Description

      This happens because of the merge-down-and-copy-back process which merges info into the profile to keep the dominance lines straight...this was a bad move, so it should be backed out, and a new profile merge process implemented.
