    Description

      The certificate for https://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2 is invalid, although this URL is being mentioned as official URL in http://maven.apache.org/guides/mini/guide-mirror-settings.html (although still with http prefix).
      This must have been broken in the more recent past because that definitely used to work. The certificate is only valid for repo1.maven.apache.org.
