NullPointerException with Maven 3.2.1 when circular dependency exists in POMs

    Description

      I had introduced a circular dependency in my multi-project POM configuration without realizing it. With 3.2.1 I got an NPE. See attached file. Switching to 3.1.1 gave me the appropriate error about the circular dependency.
