    Description

      The conversation grew out of some change in behavior found in the jsonMapParser for handling original_string. After community discussion https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/2dbf068cd2144ea3bda8d652b4e866c74b3ef9e96510c63ff27335b4@%3Cdev.metron.apache.org%3E, it looks like handling this in a more general way across all parsers is the desired path forward.
