Description
Happened on a current Fedora 24 machine, when trying to run tests.
$ perf --version perf version 4.8.10.200.fc24.x86_64.gc23c
doesn't seem to be parsed correctly by perf::supported(), because when running ./bin/mesos-tests.sh it reads
------------------------------------------------------------- Could not find the 'perf' command or its version lower that 2.6.39 so tests using it to sample the 'cpu-cycles' hardware event will not be run. ------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------- require 'perf' version >= 2.6.39 so no 'perf' tests will be run -------------------------------------------------------------
