Description
Some applicable use cases:
- log collection
- metrics and monitoring
- service discovery
It might also be useful to break this functionality down into: daemon processes for master nodes vs. daemon processes for agent nodes.
There was some initial discussion and back-of-the-napkin design for this at Mesoscon this past year (with an emphasis on agent nodes) but I'm not aware that anything significant materialized from that.
