We should be able to redirect master and slave logs to systemd journal on the systems where it's available.
Default configuration of google logging
Add either log rotation or capped-size logging (for tasks)
This should also include individual task stdout/stderr, syslog messages being logged to the systemd journal (although those are more bits of this as an epic). Right now for long-running tasks, the stdout and stderr just grow forever. The systemd journal makes it so the stdout/stderr can be capped size, and administrative policies can be set per app if desired.
No recent demand for this feature, unassigning and moving back to Open to re-triage later.
Can I express recent demand for this feature?
Try using this module if you'd like journald logging immediately:
This issue is for considering whether we should support the module explicitly in Mesos (like we do for the Logrotate container logger module).
