      Description

Most (if not all) of the Log4j developers are using Windows or Mac OS X. It would be a great idea to add an easily-created VirtualBox environment to test Log4j in. This could also be extended to add some server environments for integration testing, too.

So far I'm adding JDK6 (openjdk-6-jdk) and Maven (maven) as default packages to install. For integration testing, the following packages would be handy as well:

        • tomcat7
        • jetty8
        • mongodb
        • couchdb
        • activemq
        • rsyslog (installed by default as the syslog daemon)
