    Description

      Hello,

Apache NetBeans (incubating) uses 3 schema files with the OASIS license:

      o.apache.xml.resolver/src/org/apache/xml/resolver/etc/catalog.dtd
      o.apache.xml.resolver/src/org/apache/xml/resolver/etc/catalog.rng
      o.apache.xml.resolver/src/org/apache/xml/resolver/etc/catalog.xsd

The license text is here: https://github.com/apache/incubator-netbeans/blob/master/nbbuild/licenses/OASIS

We would like to get cleared by LEGAL with regard to this license.

I have found https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-111 which mentions we cannot include 'standards' in source releases but the license text does mention derivative works, etc.

If the advice remains the same I would like some more explanations (eg. is it OK to keep the files in the source repository but just not include them in the source code release? Of course, this would make building the source release a bit more cumbersome)
