In Kafka Connect ConfigProvider can be used concurrently (e.g. via PUT to {{/

{connectorType}

/config/validate}}, but there is no mention of concurrent usage in the Javadocs for ConfigProvider. It's probably worth calling out that implementations need to be thread safe.
