Constraints and Permissions Portlets have rendering bugs on IE7

    Details

    • Type: Bug
    • Status: Closed
    • Priority: Major
    • Resolution: Won't Fix
    • Affects Version/s: 2.1.3
    • Fix Version/s: 2.2.2
    • Component/s: Admin Portlets
    • Labels:
      None
    • Environment:
      IE7

      Description

The list area of both the Constraints and Permissions Administration portlets get very large on IE7. This causes the entire user interface for these two portlets to be very difficult to use. Maybe more so on the Constraints portlet as its difficult to save or dismiss the popup Edit Constraints editor. This seems to only occur on IE7.

I just checked this one and indeed on IE7 it is not really pretty, effectively unusable. However with IE8 it is working just fine.
And, as IE8 now is the recommended version and available on all supported Windows versions (XP, Vista, 7), I'm inclined to consider this issue as no longer critical/major and actually to close is as "Won't Fix" (anymore).
