Description

I have started working on Apache Jetspeed2 portal recently. My goal is to move JSR 168 portlets which were devloped using IBM RAD6 to Jetspeed2 portal.
Many of these portlets have an additional custom mode for admin purpose. I am not able to add this custom mode on Jetspeed2.

I have signed up for the jetspeed user-mailing list and I came to know that adding custom mode is not supported at present. It will require code changes to implement. I am not pretty sure about it though.

If this is indeed the case, then I would like to raise it here so that it can be fixed as early as possible. Its very important as many portlets do need a custom mode (like config) for administrative purpose. It should allow a person with admin rights to configure some values that will be visible to all the users.
