      Description

When an action occurs inside a portlet, just that portlet content should be updated in the browser, avoiding unwanted scrolls, unused html traffic and other unwanted side effects. I suggest a Ajax like approach to jetspeed 2. Thanks.

We are definately looking at AJAX for rendering. However, we are required by JSR-168 that to re-render ALL portlets on a page when an action is invoked. Just something to keep in mind.
