Windows XP, Jetspeed1.6-dev,
Websphere test env in WSAD.
Description
I built jetspeed 1.6 using maven. Then I imported the war into WSAD.
Everything was great, I was tinkering with building/deploying portlets, as I need to install portlets from WSAD, Notes, and Documentum.
After some struggle to discover where to put my classes and xreg's. I decided to download another's portlet and install it. I logged in as admin and went tot the portlet browser and added a class (portlet) to the portlet browser, I then created a new pane and edited that pane and added this new portlet to the pane. There was an error in during the new portlet class rendering and there was an exception thrown.
I couldn't get back to the page to remove the portlet, since any time admin logged in there was this big error message.
I realize that as a newbie there might have been a simpler solution. I removed the portlet.xreg and the local-portlet.xreg from the conf directory and bounced the server to get back to the page/pane that I was working on.
So I guess this isn't a bug but a feature! Thanks for this great tool! I am really falling for jetspeed!
