Coredumps don't end up in IMPALA_HOME if buildall.sh run from a different directory

    Details

    • Type: Bug
    • Status: Resolved
    • Priority: Major
    • Resolution: Fixed
    • Affects Version/s: Impala 2.8.0
    • Fix Version/s: Impala 2.8.0
    • Component/s: Infrastructure
    • Labels:
      None

      Description

      "IMPALA-4259: build Impala without any test cluster setup." removed a "cd $

      {ROOT}

      " statement that meant that the tests were executed with IMPALA_HOME as the working directory.

      This meant that core dumps, etc, ended up in IMPALA_HOME. Now that the statement is removed, if buildall.sh is run some from somewhere else, the core dumps end up in the wrong place.
